Biography / Synopsis

Ada Falcón, la Greta Garbo del Tango's biography

They say that she is a natural-born daughter of Miguel Nazar Anchorena. That the Maharaja of Kapurthala gave her a diamond ring, which she used to wear in her radio performances. That her true love was Mendoza’s governor Carlos Washington Lencinas, assassinated in 1929. And that her unsuccessful relationship with Francisco Canaro propelled her into a growing mysticism, which led her to take a vow of poverty and shut herself away in a convent in Córdoba. A halo of mystery and uncertainty keeps her myth alive. She died ten years ago, at 96.
