Quinteto de la Fundación Astor Piazzolla presenta Piazzolla Puro

If there was one ensemble that reflected Astor Piazzolla’s characteristic style and sound, it was Quinteto Nuevo Tango. Created by the author of “Adiós Nonino” in 1961, the combo has come to be, throughout the years and with different settings, the purest expression of an expansive way of thinking, writing and playing tango. As a permanent homage to this iconic ensemble, the Astor Piazzolla Foundation has its own Quintet, which performs his repertoire, using the sheet music and original arrangements of the Mar del Plata-born maestro. Under the musical direction of Julián Vat, the ensemble is made up of Horacio Romo (bandoneon), Nicolás Guerschberg (piano), Sergio Rivas (double bass), Sebastián Prusak (violin) and Germán Martínez (guitar).
