Laura Poitras

Biography

Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1964. She studied media studies at the New School for Social Research in New York, and currently teaches documentary filmmaking in the Film Department of Yale University. Some of her documentaries are Living the Legacy (1998), Flag Wars (2004) and My Country, My Country (2006), nominated for the Oscar.
