Joaquim Jordà

Biography

He was born in Santa Colomba de Farners, Spain, in 1935. In 1961 he made his first short film, Día de muertos; in 1967 he directed his first feature length film, Dante no es únicamente severo, together with Jacinto Esteva. Numax presenta... (1980), De nens (2003; Bafici ’04) and Más allá del espejo (2006; Bafici ’07) are some of his other works. He past away in 2006, the same year he was awarded posthumously with the Spanish National Filmmaking Award.
