Tsai Ming-liang

Biography
He was born in Kuching, Malaysia, in 1957. In 1977 he moved to Taiwan and studied Film and Drama at the Chinese Culture University. After graduation, he worked in theater and TV. Rebels of the Neon God (1992) was his first feature film; followed by Vive l’amour (1994), The River (1997), The Hole (1998), The Wayward Cloud (Bafici ‘05) and I Don’t Want to Sleep Alone (2006; Bafici ‘07), amongst others.
