Heinz Emigholz

Biography

He was born in Achin, Germany. He is a filmmaker but also a visual artist, an actor, a writer, a journalist, and a producer. His films include the series Schenec-Tady I-III (1973-76), The Basis of Make-Up (1985-05) and, since 1995, Photography and Beyond. The Festival published a book about the latter in 2004, and screened many of the films it includes.
