Synopsis
Yang Yang is a student who stands out among the other students because of her European features (the actress that plays this part, Sandrine Pinna, is the daughter of a French father and a Taiwanese mother). To her own regret, her exotic beauty makes her a temptation for boys and triggers conflict among her girl friends; and later it will lead her to a prosperous career as an actress and model, even if she never feels entirely comfortable. Things happen too quickly and Yang Yang is not sure about what she wants. Cheng Yu-chieh’s first film shamelessly focuses on Pinna, a true diva in the island, who is followed with hand held cameras imitating the clumsiness and insecurity of a girl who seems to be set for life thanks to her gene pool. But Yang Yang is just a teenager, and she will have to learn to control the power that comes from her inborn ability to seduce.
