Synopsis
The school drop-out rate is a very important problem in Argentina. According to the local Unicef branch, poverty, social exclusion and the low school retention capacity are the reasons why half a million students are left outside the system. With basic resources, a school decides to set up a radio as an educational-recreational activity, so they can stimulate the dynamic involvement of students in the process of group work and discussion. This documentary by Gustavo Laskier follows the construction of the radio and closely portrays the most fluent relationships that spring between teachers and pupils outside the formal and disciplinary space of the classroom. That closeness does not prevent Laskier from letting the conflicts arise from the naivety, precariousness, and spontaneous reactions of each of the members of a project that combines social and educational problems in order to find a communal voice.
