Synopsis

Enrique Piñeyro is interested in many wrongs of this world, which are the result of diverse corruptions. Or rather, he’s interested in changing the world through public action: denunciations, statements, investigations, and cinema –with Fuerza Aérea Sociedad Anónima he managed to modify (or accelerate the change of) the control of civilian aviation. Piñeyro puts himself behind and in front of the camera, and faces us with an impressive case: denunciations of corruption, crude manipulation of evidence and a few other things (it’s best not to reveal more because the film is structured on the basis of many revelations). With narrative and scenic self-assurance, Piñeyro, a typical Renaissance man –doctor, pilot, producer, filmmaker, actor, and pro-justice activist– now goes against the police (“rati” is the slang word that’s most commonly used in a derogatory way) And with The Rati Horror Show Piñeyro not only dares to make denunciations, but also to make an elegant and graceful use of a set of resources: fictionalization, backstage, special effects… The shocking and convincing result proves –also– that corruption is one of the most harmful forms of stupidity.
