Synopsis

The Torino (produced between 1966 and 1982, and sometimes called “Toro”) is “the ultimate Argentine car”, “the best car”, an object of auto-fan worship for many car lovers (it is even said that Argentine people have a particular love for cars). Of course, the Torino is also the symbol of an industrious, vital and booming Argentina that belongs to the past. Rolandelli wants to depict all that but also more, like the mythical Nürburgring race in Germany, or the Torino performances in the Road Racing category. Torino is a film based on a huge amount of true events and a huge amount of resources, with plenty of fiction, documentary, music (the commonly known as such and also the one which is said to come from engines), cars, mechanics, fans, and races. Rolandelli goes into a singular universe to make an also singular film, not just because of the world it portrays but also for being specially passionate and protean.
