Synopsis

As if talking to a blind audience, an actor describes silent sequences of Hitchcock’s The Birds, and he does it finding the right words to fit the subtlety of each image in a very poetic manner, like with “the mischievous smile that lights her face (Tippi Hedren’s, of course)” from the title. The people in charge of that representation job are part of a night film set located in a forest, which starts to gain more and more density as it gets surrounded by the original soundtrack from Hitchcock’s film. They are both spectators and special interpreters of the plot and the mysterious audio, welcoming it in their own space and time, and playing with it. And so, the field of connections between what we see and what we hear opens to cinema’s most mysterious evocations and mirages.
