Teuvo Tulio

Biography

Born in Rezekne, Latvia, in 1912 and passed away in 2000. He begun his career as an actor at the end of the silent era and turned to directing and producing in the 30s. In 2008 and 2009, retrospectives of his work were held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Pacific Film Archive. Some of his films are Frestelse (1938), Cross of Love (1946) and Sensuela (1973).
