Synopsis
El Poema El Cuadro El Disco… or the questions about creation, about what is art and what are the implications of devoting oneself to make it. In these terms, the film’s subject might seem pompous, severe, and solemn. But there’s nothing like that in El Poema El Cuadro El Disco. The reflections and questions that emerge before, during, and after engraving, painting, writing or shooting, they all feel close and acute; but also kind, as the result of experience and work development, which partially takes place before Guillermo Arias-Carbajal Alonso’s camera. So, in the agile recording of those processes, and among unforgettable characters, we dive into the everyday life of recording an album, and the Lovely Luna (Xoel Lopez and Felix Arias) reveal themselves as a folk-pop duo for the spectator to discover and/or enjoy, and who surely will make some members of the audience leave the projection room singing about the twins from Siam called Chang and Eng….Chang and Eeeeeeng…Chang and Eeeeeeeng….
