Synopsis
In 2005, an accidental explosion in Guatemala revealed a huge archive of the National Police that had been kept hidden to that day. That place, formerly location of a detention center called La Isla, worked as the storage facility of most of the information regarding the actions of the Army and Police during the 90´s, which were regarded as one of the biggest repressions and human annihilations to take place in the continent’s recent history. Starting from that, an entire young generation of professionals put their talents to work in the analysis and investigation of that intimidating amount of data (tens of millions of documents), inevitably intertwining them with their own personal histories, and unraveling the silenced chronicle of an entire people. Modern technology is contrasted with human experiences to try and solve a puzzle made of dates, names, and blurred notes, which constitute the incomplete collective memory of an entire country.
