Jean Garrett

Born on the Azores Islands in 1947, he moved to Brazil and worked as an actor and photographer before directing his first film, A ilha do desejo, in 1975. The film was later followed by Noite en chamas (1977), Tchau amor (1982) and his last one, Entra e sai (1986). In 1980, he founded his own production company, Íris Produções Cinematográficas. He died in 1996.
