Synopsis

While drinking mate, he tells her about his first concerts, which pieces he chose, what stages he got to be on. Then we see him next to a chessboard looking at a music sheet with a student. All these pieces come together like a puzzle to form pianist Alexander Panizza. An Argentine musician –although he was born in Toronto– with international training (Canada, Argentina, France, Spain and England welcomed him to their classrooms), Panizza is one of the most renowned and awarded local musicians today. Among other many achievements, he played all 32 Beethoven sonatas for piano, which he recorded and released, earning the applause of specialized music critics and the general audience. Pablo Romano follows the artist in his everyday scenarios: meetings with students, rehearsals, concerts, and even car rides. From then on, he makes up a warm, first-person portrait of one of the most internationally renowned pianists of today.
