Synopsis
Those of you who remember Laurent Bouhnik for films like L’Invité –the comedy in which Daniel Auteuil wants to impress a potential boss by hosting a dinner– will surely be surprised when they see Q, although somehow here there’s a similar intent to bring characters to some border situations. The main character here is Cecile, a young audacious woman who delves in the deepest desires of the people she finds on her way: she pinpoints them, takes them to the maximum, and exploits them. In the beginning of the film, before the opening credits, there is a group of naked women of whom we can’t identify but we do notice their bodies submerged in a blue-ish tone. They chat about their intimate life –both the real and imagined ones– and about what they did and fantasize about doing. Throughout the rest of the film, Cecile will find whatever it is that the characters are hiding, and she’ll do it through shameless, explicit and head-on sexual encounters. And in those occasions, it’s possible that she will also bump into a part of herself.
