Synopsis
After their debut Bore Lee: In the Claws of the Big Z became a hit, and also Croatia’s best-selling DVD (it still is!), the same directorial trio embarked on a second Bore Lee adventure, with a low budget that “just meant this time we could actually give food to actors and crew while shooting“, as co-director Ivan Ramljak once explained. Still, the follow-up is longer, less crude, and certainly even crazier! What the film lacks in production value, it compensates with demented imagination—a warped European heritage of the early cult efforts by Sam Raimi or Peter Jackson, only with that inimitable Bore Lee twist that makes them one-of-a-kind. This time Bore returns to Sinj for meditation, but again he can find no peace: Clearly, something is wrong in his beloved hometown. People behave strangely (at least as far as that is noticeable in a Bore Lee film)... and the cause is drugs! The mission to rid Sinj of evil leads towards confrontations hitherto unimaginable, like Bore’s haunting hand-to-hand combat with a (stuffed) tiger! A mad masterpiece.
