Synopsis

“I’m an acquaintance of the night, I’ve walked in the rain, went beyond the last lights of the city”, says Luis, the errant character of Nocturnos, as he moves through a Buenos Aires of brutal contrast inhabited by those who go from daytime to the night and those who emerge once daylight falls. Also skaters and social demands, a yawning tango music and the people –young or old– who blossom in the streets, bars and squares, downtown and in the neighborhoods. Like a travelling shot, we walk together with a character who remembers and reflects. Ghosts start to appear, they’re the ones the character is either searching for or trying to forget about. And the ghosts of Cozarinsky, who lets them in and summons them –as with Langlois, Fleischmann or Bowles-Burroughs in Citizen Langlois, El violin de Rothschild, or literally in Los fantasmas de Tánger– or witnesses almost perplex how they materialize and dematerialize –in Night Watch. This time, the ghosts –the living dead– join this new lonely man of the ghostly gallery. And the moon-lighted, disturbing, alive and vivid city.
