Federico Veiroj

Bio

He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1976, and majored in Social Communication. He contributed to the Uruguayan Cinematheque and worked in the Spanish Filmotheque in Madrid. He directed short films like De vuelta a casa (2001) and Bregman, el siguiente (2004). His first film Acné (2008; Bafici ‘09), premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and was nominated for a Goya for Best Ibero-American Film. A Useful Life (2010) participated in Bafici ‘11 and won Best Actor. He’s currently a Latin American Delegate for the San Sebastián Film Festival.
