Takeshi Kitano

He was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1947. A poet, comedian, TV host, and audiovisual artist, he debuted as a director with Violent Cop (1989). His following films include Fireworks (1997), Dolls (Bafici ‘03), Zatoichi (Bafici ‘04), Takeshis’ (Bafici ‘06), Achilles and the Tortoise (Bafici ‘09) and Outrage (2010).
