Synopsis

Part tradition, part novelty, this light French comedy revolves around that ruthless and inevitable (although some might postpone it for 40 years) teenage battle known as losing your virginity. As usual, the film follows a young man –Romain– as he turns into a prison for hormones during the obliged stops in his carnal via crucis (desperation, school self-humiliation, total loss of hope, resignation). It’s a fight he will have to face alone or, worse case scenario, with several friends in the same (pathetic) situation. But the atypical and fresh features of these “sexual chronicles in a family of today” lay precisely on its title, since –unlike the finest examples of this tradition– Romain’s actions are told in a family, homegrown story, set away from school hallways and with his parents (and brothers, and grandparents) as adventure buddies. Against all preconceptions, this change of setting frees the film from any hesitation, and places it into an openly sexual environment where the best way to face problems is taking your clothes off.
