Biography

Without a doubt, he is one of today’s most renowned theater directors, and together with Ariane Mnouchkine, Giorgio Strehler, Bob Wilson, Peter Stein and Tadeusz Kantor, is part of a generation of key artists contributing to the development of the contemporary scene. Brook has staged versions of Shakespeare, Dostoievski, Jarry, Chéjov, Genet, Beckett and Miller. He has also directed operas by Debussy, Bizet, Puccini and Tchaikovski.
