The ICP Orchestra, which has been at the forefront of European jazzfor almost 30 years, comes to Buenos Aires led by charismatic drummer Han Bennink, who will also play in concert with ICP’s legendary members Michael Moore and Ernst Glerum –amajor milestone for the City.FlavioBoltro, a worthyrepresentativeof thefamous Italian school of jazz trumpeters, will close the Festival together with one of Europe’sbest new talents: pianist Eric Legnini. Guitar virtuosos Jonathan Kreisberg andwith Sylvain Luc will hit the stage too: the American playerwith his trio,and the Frenchman with Jean-Michel Pilc. Tim Berne will appear with Ernesto Jodos’s trio. There will be solo piano performances by Frank Carlberg, Guus Janssen and Leo Genovese,andNew York Voices member DarmonMeader will treat us to a repertoire of standards. Also, the BAJ will offer a bonus free concertoutdoorsfeaturing Brazilian artists: the awe-inspiring Rosa Passos, who captivated audiences in 2008, and the amazing Banda Mantiqueira, which rocked the house last year.
