Nicolás Guerschberg
Synopsis
Pianist, arranger and director Nicolás Guerschberg is one of the few musicians on the contemporary scene who can master the language of jazz as well as that of tango. His career reflects this unusual quality: as a musician, he has backed a wide range of singers from Ute Lemper to Susana Rinaldi; as a composer, he has written for the Camerata Bariloche and the Orquesta del Tango de Buenos Aires, as well as for chamber, symphony and big band ensembles. He is part of Escalandrum, La Camorra and Quinteto de la Fundación Astor Piazzolla, and directs a sextet and a trio that play his original music.
