Ricardo Cavalli

Ricardo Cavalli was born in Buenos Aires in 1969. In 1994 he was granted a scholarship to study jazz composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston with Frank Tiberi and Greg Hopkins, among others. Once back in the country, in 1999, he quickly integrated into the local scene by taking part in concerts and recordings with Quinteto Urbano and the ensembles of artists like Guillermo Klein, Javier Malosetti, Pepi Taveira, Ernesto Jodos, Adrián Iaies and others. In 2002 he released his first album, La entrega, later to be followed by Sundaram and, more recently, Trinidad. In addition to his work with his regular trio, he often performs in duo and quartet with pianist Guillermo Romero.
