GUILLERMO DELGADO

Guillermo Delgado was awarded the Outstanding Musicianship award in 1996 by the Berklee College of Music. Back in Argentina, and following his work in ensembles led by such maestri as Walter Malosetti, Armando Alonso and Norberto Minichillo, he joined the Quinteto Urbano. The wide recognition achieved by this quintet led them to perform at top-notch stages in Buenos Aires and the rest of Argentina, as well as in Spain, Chile, Uruguay and other countries.
Guillermo participated in the recording of albums by Ricardo Lew, Lito Epumer, Luis Nacht, Tomoko Ohno-Andrés Boiarsky and Ricardo Cavalli, to name just a few. He set up two ensembles of his own, a quintet and a trio, where he began to explore diverse genres related to the music with Argentine roots, thus expanding his influences and strengthening his bond with the popular culture. He joined guitarist Sebastián Espósito and together they gave birth to the album Sin cabeza (2008), where he displays his talent as a composer.
