JUANI MÉNDEZ's biography

Juani Mendez studied sax at the School of Music of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. He took counterpoint lessons with Luis Ángel Machado and studied improvisation with Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Carlos Lastra and Ernesto Jodos. At present he studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel de Falla and performs regularly on the jazz scene with different formations, including the Juan Manuel Bayon Sexteto, Sergio Wagner Quinteto, Marcos Basso Sexteto and Kike Mendoza Quinteto.
