The film season “Film & Jazz” opens today, Friday, with a real documentary gem which has seldom been screened in Argentina: Sonic Mirror, by the outstanding Finnish filmmaker on the great Afro-American drummer (ex Mahavishnu Orchestra) who boasts an extensive career alongside the greatest musicians of the west. Sonic Mirror will screen at 5pm at the “microcine” of Centro Cultural Recoleta, admission is free until capacity limits have been reached.

The documentary displays different stages of one of Cobham’s tours, from Brazil all the way to Switzerland, in clinics, airports, and creative gatherings with musicians who are naturally devotees of the technique and charisma of the great drummer, a musician who has made it into the history of jazz and also tread the path of rock.
