Oscar Giunta

Born into a music family, Oscar Giunta is regarded as one of the most versatile drummers of the local scene. He studied at the Escuela de Música Juan Pedro Esnaola and with Roberto “Júnior” Cesari, Pablo La Porta and Eduardo Casalla. As a teacher, he gives private lessons, clinics, seminars and workshops in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. In 1999 he co-founded the legendary Quinteto Urbano. As a jazz, rock and pop sessionist he toured Latin America, the United States and Europe. Oscar has performed with many renowned local artists, including Luis Salinas, Javier Malosetti and Walter Malosetti, Mariano Otero, Horacio Larumbe, Guillermo Romero, Ricardo Cavalli and Diego Urcola, and, at an international level, with Herbie Hancock, Dave Holland, Danilo Pérez, Paquito De Rivera and Hermeto Pascoal Group, among others.
