FRANK CARLBERG FOR FREE, THIS WEDNESDAY AT THE RECOLETA

Frank Carlberg’s show with his quintet originally programmed for Tuesday at the CCC Teatro 25 de Mayo, will take place this Wednesday at 3.30 PM at the Terrace stage of the Centro Cultural Recoleta. The most important thing is that it will be of free admission. Those who purchased tickets for the original date --Carlberg + Sebastián Jordan Quintet-- and need to get their money back must go to the Hard Rock Café from Thursday the 9th until Friday the 17th from 12 PM to 7 PM.

Carlberg is considered to be one the most prominent pianists and composers of the avant-grade New York scene. He leads many “parallel” bands- besides the quintet, the Tívoli Trío and a Big Band. Besides, he participated in many important collaborative projects, with the sax player Stave Lacy, the trombonist Bob Brookmeyeand and the trumpeter Kenny Wheeler. He is professor and graduate from the New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, member of Douglass Street Music group and partner of the Red Piani Records label.
