Biography

Double bassist and composer Pablo Basez was born in Argentina. In 2012, he launched his second album, Nius On (released on PAI Records and curated by journalist Diego Fischerman). His Novo Cuarteto has recently played at the Festival Internacional Jazz al Fin (in the End of the World: Ushuaia). At this year’s BAJ, he will play in a quintet lineup: Novo Cuarteto + 1 (Alan Zimmerman on piano), with permanent quartet members Rodrigo Agudelo (guitar), Gonzalo Rodríguez (tenor sax) and Luciano Casas (drums).
