Biography
Composer and pianist Ricardo Gallo was born in Colombia. He holds a master’s and a doctorate in Composition from Stony Brook University. His music appears on several compilations in Colombia, the United States and Europe. He has recorded with ensembles such as Asdrúbal, Fifo and Citizens of the World, Pacho Dávila and Peter Evans Quartet. One of his main projects is the quartet completed by Jorge Sepúlveda (drums), Juan Manuel Toro (bass) and Juan David Castaño (percussion), which he has been leading since 2004. They released Los cerros testigos (2005), Urdimbres y marañas (2007) and Resistencias (2010).
