Biography

The collective Mazaki Tazaki started as a quartet in 2003, with two saxes, double bass and drums. In 2009, it was enlarged to an octet broadening the band’s horizons. It performed at the Festival Ciudad Abierta 2004 and at two editions of the BAJ (2005 and 2006). It released Máz-Akí Taz-Akí. As of 2010, the band plays at different local venues. Its members are: Julián Montauti (double bass), Nico Said (tenor sax and composition), Sergio Wagner (trumpet), Francisco Salgado (trombone), Wenchi Lazo and Marcos Edward (guitars and effects), Carto Brandán (drums) and Migma (turntable).
