This Friday night, in front of a Luna Park packed with over 6 thousand persons, Buenos Aires Tango 2010 consecrated Ariel Jimenez and Maria Ines Bogado (Buenos Aires, Argentina) as world champions in Salon Tango. The runner-ups were Diego Ezequiel Perez - Maria Soledad Cantarini (Rosario, Argentina); in third place Cristian Andres Lopez - Naoko Tsutsumizaki (Tokyo, Japan); in fourth place Ariel Manzanares - Daniela Sol Cerquides (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Frank Carlos Obregon Delci - Jenny Carolina Gil Alvarez (Caracas, Venezuela) in fifth place.

In turn, the award for most elegant couple -voted by the audience- went to: Max Van de Voorde -Solange Acosta (Buenos Aires, Argentina). It was a night full of emotions, technical skills of the finalist couples, each musician’s virtuosity and standing ovations: for the winners, for the maestro Leopoldo Federico and his orchestra and for the tango debut of the famous Panamanian singer-songwriter Rubén Blades (see separately). The show’ closing was a summit of winners of past editions of the World Cup, demonstrating their skills once again. The audience -that packed the historical stadium located in Corrientes at Bouchard- was thankful.
