GIROTTO - SINESI - BRUHN

This trio is made up of three Argentine musicians of a vast career in Europe. They released an album, Dos soles (MDR, 2007), which bears testimony to their passion for the Argentine music, as well as the jazz language.
Javier Girotto was born in 1965 in the city of Córdoba, where he pursued his music education. At the age of 25 he settled in Italy, after graduating with honours from the Berklee College of Music, where he studied sax, improvisation and composition with such notable teachers as Joseph Viola, George Garzone, Hal Crook and Jerry Bergonzi. His first ensemble in Rome was Tercer Mundo, alongside Horacio “El Negro” Hernández. Later on came Aires Tango, with which he recorded seven albums. In 1999 he formed Córdoba Reunión, together with Minino Garay and Gerardo Di Giusto, and in 2002 he joined Enrico Rava’s quartet. He recorded two albums with the Vertere String Quartet: Nahuel and Música Argentina para Big Band, featuring original music, as well as countless other albums with his own projects or in collaboration with Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Danilo Rea, Roberto Gatto, Gianluca Petrella, Rita Marcotulli, Paolo Di Sabatino, Furio Di Castri, Kenny Wheeler, Tony Scott, Arto Tuncboyaciyan, Michel Benita, Aldo Romano, Luis Agudo, Antonello Salis, Stefano Bollani, Stefano Battaglia, Michel Godard, Anouar Brahem, Gianluigi Trovesi, Ornella Vanoni, Jeff Ballard, Ed Simon, Ben Street, Paul McCandless, Avishai Cohen and many others. At present he teaches jazz at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he resides.
Quique Sinesi was born in 1960 in Buenos Aires. He is hailed as one of the best Argentine guitarists due to his unique style. He plays seven-string Spanish guitar, piccolo, acoustic guitar and charango. He played for many years with Dino Saluzzi and formed the band Alfombra Mágica alongside Matías González and Horacio López. He has also performed or recorded with Enrico Rava, Pedro Aznar, Rubén Rada, Paquito D’Rivera, Joe Lovano, Markus Stockhausen, Erling Kroner, Wolfgang Haffner, Marcelo Moguilevsky, Michael Forman, Carlos Aguirre, Juan Falú, Karnataka College of Percusion, Dieter Ilg, Jasper Van Hof, Nazim and Daniel Messina, to name just a few. Since 1999 he appears regularly in a duo with legendary saxophonist Charlie Mariano. In 2000 he formed the project New Tango Duo with Pablo Ziegler. He has toured the world extensively as a soloist.
Martín Bruhn also hails from Córdoba. He studied drums and percussion with Fernando Caballero and, in New York, with Satoshi Takeishi. In 2001 he settled in Madrid, where he’s resided to date. Martín has recorded with Guillermo McGill, Julieta Venegas, Walter Ríos, Antonio Serrano, Natalio Mangalavite, César Franov, Raúl Carnota, Susana Rinaldi, Walter Malosetti, Carlos Aguirre, Joe Vasconcelos, Minino Garay and Tomás Gubitsch, among others.
