Creole Jazz Band's biography

Creole Jazz Band

This band, a pioneer of the genre, was born in Buenos Aires in 1957. Originally hired by the traditional Café Tortoni for two performances in 1984, it stayed there for 22 consecutive years, playing every Friday. The band’s line-up of instruments remained the same for twenty-five years. They have released six albums and one DVD, and are at present at work on their new album. They have also recorded with other artists and bands like Mono Villegas, Fats Fernández, Lito Vitale and Bersuit Vergarabat. The Creole Jazz Band, always under the direction of César Borsano, has appeared throughout the country and is a regular fixture at traditional jazz festivals.
