Pablo Raposo

Pablo Raposo was born in Necochea, in the province of Buenos Aires. He began studying piano in his hometown and later on graduated from Sadem (the Argentine Musicians’ Union). He took piano lessons with Penaco Zaldivar, Edgardo Beilin and Guillermo Romero, among others. He has performed with several artists, including Walter Malosetti, Ricardo Cavalli, Carlos Lastra, Diego Luteral, Eloy Michelini, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Guillermo Delgado, Mariano Otero, Jerónimo Carmona and Guadalupe Raventos. He was a member of the ensembles Valentino Jazz Bazar, Diego Luteral Quinteto, Adrián De Filippo Quinteto, Paula Meijide Sexteto, Patricia Grinfeld Cuarteto, Facundo Bergalli Cuarteto, Pepi Taveira Cuarteto, Gustavo Cortajerena Cuarteto and Jorge Torrecillas Cuarteto, among others. He even got to play with musicians such as Conrad Herwig, Wynton Marsalis and members of the Lincoln Center Orchestra (at the Teatro Gran Rex). In 2002 he founded, alongside Ramiro Penovi and Santiago and Joaquín de Francisco, the jazz-oriented Satch music school.
At present, he plays with Fats Fernández, Trío Índigo, Leo Álvarez Cuarteto, Marina Rama Grupo, Satch Big Band, Raposo-Fuchs Dúo and Valsechi-Raposo-Blanc, with some of which he released albums. He teaches at Satch and Sadem schools as well as privately.
