 Fénix Jazz Band 's biography

The Fénix Jazz Band was born in 1973. They recreate the New Orleans’ style, the oldest in the genre. Since 1978 they play at Café Tortoni. They have made ten international tours around the United States and they have participated in festivals of Sacramento, Connecticut, Los Angeles, Central City and Santa Rosa. They have also performed in San Francisco, San Diego, Salem, Seattle, Phoenix, Kalispell, New York, Vancouver and Victoria Island.
Its members are: Carlos Caiati (clarinet), Ricardo Alem (trompet), Jorge Palmieri (trombone), Ezequiel Pallejá (piano), Guillermo Riportella (banjo), Héctor García (tuba) and Norberto Méndez (drums).
