Biography

Pepi Taveira is one of the most important jazz drummers in Argentina and has taught many contemporary drummers. He has toured and performed extensively in Argentina, United States, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Uruguay along with Clark Terry, Delfeayo Marsalis, Danilo Pérez, Ron McClure, Karl Miklin and Erling Kroner. Nowadays, as well as being part of Adrián Iaies Trío, he composes and arranges for his own quartet – focused on music with Afro-jazz roots – with which he has released several records.
