A GREAT SUNDAY AT THE CCC RECOLETA

UN BUEN DOMINGO EN EL RECOLETA

With a good weather forecast for the last day of the BAJ.11, it will a perfect opportunity for spending the entire Sunday at the Centro Cultural Recoleta. There will be many great free performances, starting early in the afternoon. At 3.30 p.m., the young talented musician Francisco Lo Vuolo (photo) will give a solo piano performance at El Aleph. There at 4.30, Argentine saxophonist Rodrigo Domínguez with Spanish double bass player Carlos Alvarez and the trio led by Chilean vibraphonist Diego Urbano will journey through the winding roads of the music by jazz great Ornette Coleman.

Starting at 6 p.m., the sextet led by bassist Mariano Sívori will perform on the stage of the Patio del Aljibe. At the same time, the Dutch documentary Frank Zappa: A Pioneer of the Future of Music, by Frank Scheffer, will be screened at the theater. There will be also shows running concurrently on the stage of the Terraza, featuring Spanish guitarist Diego García (6 p.m.); a concert by Richard Nant’sband,Argentos (7 p.m.), playing a repertoire of music by classical composer Alberto Ginastera; and a great finale (8 p.m.) with singer Roxana Amed’s quintet and very special guests such as Guillermo Klein, Mariano Loiácono and Ricardo Cavalli.
