Biography

Singer Florencia Otero was born in Buenos Aires in 1980. Classically trained, she has traveled an eclectic road from contemporary music to Brazilian popular music and jazz. She currently sings in an improvisation trio with Bárbara Togander and Melina Moguilevsky, and is part of the project Pájaro profeta. In 2011, she recorded her first album, Nocturno mundo, with music by Joni Mitchell and collaborations from Rodrigo Domínguez, Bárbara Togander and Melina Moguilevsky. At this year’s BAJ, she will perform it in a sextet with Paula Shocron, Damien Poots, Leonel Cejas, Ingrid Feniger and Martín López Grande.
