Raúl Lavié 's biography

Raúl Lavié

A concert where tango classics are mixed with juicy anecdotes and humor. Raúl Lavié is an actor as well as a singer: he participated in more than 20 films, worked on TV and led more than thirty theater productions. But as well as his long career, there are other distinctions that position him above the category of remarkable singer with an international career and are worth mentioning. He was named distinguished visitor of Los Angeles, Tokyo, Bariloche, Mar del Plata and Rosario, his hometown. In Buenos Aires, he has his own corner in Corrientes and Carlos Pellegrini. He is an academic in the Tango National Academy belonging to the Intermediate Generation Group. He sang for Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin. He was a main figure in Tango Argentino, with which he traveled the world during one decade. Together with Astor Piazzolla, he toured Japan and Latin America. Awards? All of them: Estrella de Mar, Platinum Konex, Golden ACE. Fifty years…fifty years is nothing. He performs with his trio formed by Juan Alberto Pugliano (keyboards) Alejandro Guerschberg (concertina) and Mario Fernández (bass).
