Ciclo de Cine Bafici's biography

The film billboard of the Tango Festival –programmed by Bafici- gets together a selection of movies musicalized by Astor Piazzolla between the 50’s and the 60’s. The themes are heterogeneous and go from the colonial universe (Una viuda difícil by Fernando Ayala) to the juvenile universe (Quinto año nacional by Rodolfo Blasco), going through the black police genre (Los tallos amargos by Fernando Ayala) and through the singular atmosphere of Prisioneros de una noche (by David José Kohon).Besides this historical series, the documentary Prisoners of the Ground by Stella Van Voorst Van Beest is premiered. In this documentary, this director explores tango in Finland in a new and surprising way. Buenos Aires Tango and Bafici thank Mariano César and Martín Crespo, of Turner Argentina, Hernán Gaffet, Emerald and Juan Crespo, and the Film Museum.
