Horacio Ferrer, Raúl Garello y Marcelo Tomassi 's biography
Present Buenos Aires es tu fiesta
The remarkable individual careers of Horacio Ferrer (the poet of “Balada para un loco”, “Chiquilín de Bachín” and other contemporary classics) and Raúl Garello (the concertina player and arranger of Troilo, composer of “Verdenuevo”) converge in a prolific creative couple. “Viva el tango” or “Bailando en Buenos Aires” are the most widespread titles of a songbook that multiplies versions in the current scene and that they keep expanding, with more than forty pieces. Garello and Ferrer gather part of this production in the CD Buenos Aires es tu fiesta, recorded with the singer Marcelo Tomassi. “Che Gomina”, “El pisito de la calle Melo” and the song that gives the album its name (paying tribute to the homonymous poem by Rubén Darío) integrate the repertoire that the three artists present live.
