Carla Algeri y su Orquesta Típica

She is a concertina placer, arranger and director; from her early childhood she got involved in tango under the wing of Maestro Osvaldo Pugliese. She was part of Rodolfo Maderos’ orchestra, and of the trio directed by Maestro Lucho Servidio. Currently, she is the Director of the Orquesta de Tango de la Ciudad de Medellín. Also, she is the Director and arranger of Septeto Tango and Carla Algeri Trio (along with the singer Eduardo Pulis). She participated in the film El último bandoneón, directed by Alejandro Saderman. With her ensembles she traveled to festivals in Paris, Almeria, Granada, Mexico and Medellin. She was the winner of the Primer Certamen de Formaciones Orquestales de Tango de Argentina 2006 with her present ensemble: Carla Algeri Cuarteto. In this occasion she will present, in exclusive, her brand-new Orquesta Típica, formed by the maestros: Eduardo Pulis (voice), Miguel Pereiro (piano) and Sandra Arboleda (substitute pianist), Eduardo Tami (flute), Rubén Jurado (guitar and leading the strings), Facundo Benavídez (double bass) and Carla Algeri (direction, concertina and arrangements).
