José “Pepe” Colángelo's biography

José “Pepe” Colángelo has a fifty-year long career, he played the piano with Troilo, Juan de Dios Filiberto and Julio Sosa among many others. Also, he is a well-known orchestra director. He was a musical director of important artists such as Susana Rinaldi and Valeria Lynch. As a solo artist, he was owner of a unique style that expresses an integral conception of tango in terms of “international show”, full of nuances and stage design resources. It’s all about a visible expression, at a scenic level, of the own emphasis that Colángelo puts in his interpretations, applauded all over the world and mainly in Japan. Colángelo is an essential reference in the history of tango and he will be present at the Festival.
