Gabriel Menéndez 's biography

In an intimist style in which poetry is the protagonist, the singer and guitar player Gabriel Menéndez –from Parque Patricios neighbourhood, Buenos Aires city– sings accompanied only by his guitar and the concertina of Leandro Ragusa. Besides playing tangos, waltzes and milongas (some instrumental and others with vocals) composed by musicians and poets that were points of reference of this genre, Menéndez tells short historical accounts and comments. Menéndez and Ragusa are members of Feca (Forum of Argentine Cultural Studies), NGO devoted to research and spread of tango. Menéndez has released two solo records, Conexión Tango and Callejón. Featuring the Dutch Sexteto Canyengue he recorded the album Tiburonero (homage to Astor Piazzolla), that he presented in thirty concerts on the radio, theaters and TV shows in Holland, Belgium and Switzerland.
