Sonia Possetti Sexteto presenta Cayó la ficha's biography

Formed in the Chascomús Provincial Conservatory and at the Avellaneda School of Popular Music, the pianist Sonia Possetti continued studying with Horacio Salgán, among other teachers. In 1998 she appeared in the tango panorama through her debut album Entre nosotros, recorded as a duet with the violinist Damián Bolotin. After this album followed Ida y vuelta, also with Bolotin, and Mano de obra, registered in quintet format, composed of tangos and milongas of her authorship. This last album portrays her as a solid interpreter, arranger and composer. Currently leading a sextet, she presents his new album, Cayó la ficha. She is accompanied by Damián Bolotin (violin), Víctor Villena (concertina), Pablo Fenoglio (trombone), Gonzalo Pérez Terranova (vibraphone and percussion) and Adriana González (counter bass). Among the new works that have her signature “Suite de los elementos” can be highlighted.
