Cecilia Rossetto's biography

The long history linking tango with theater and the memory of unforgettable actress-singers that enriched the genre at different times, for almost a century, has a contemporary correlation. The actress Cecilia Rossetto -recognized as one of the great scenic personalities of her generation, with projection in America and Europe- is a remarkable case, as a mentor and unique voice of RojoTango: an encounter with Daniel Binelli, the virtuous concertina player chosen by Pugliese and Piazzolla. Ten years after the creation of the show, which gave rise to the album RojoTango, Rossetto summoned Binelli again and to the prominent guitarist Cesar Angeleri, to re-edit that musical complicity in the framework of the Festival. In a part of the porteño songbook that goes from tradition to vanguard, the trio empowers individualities within the chemistry of an encounter of aesthetics and languages.
